Yacht timeshare

Most privately owned yachts in India sail fewer than twenty days a year while costing their owner every day of it. Fractional ownership fixes the arithmetic: you buy a share, you get a guaranteed allocation of days, and the running costs divide by the number of owners.

How it works

You buy a defined share of a specific vessel held in a co-ownership structure. Your share entitles you to a fixed number of days per year, booked through a rolling calendar that rotates weekends and holidays fairly between owners.

  • Berthing, insurance and mooring included in the annual fee
  • Crew, cleaning and routine maintenance handled by us
  • Guaranteed peak-season allocation, rotated year to year
  • Monsoon layup and recommissioning managed for you
  • Exit route at the end of term through resale of your share

Who it suits

People who want a specific boat available on their own dates without the cost and administration of sole ownership — and who use a boat perhaps two or three times a month in season. Below that, chartering is honestly cheaper. Above it, buying outright starts to make sense.

What you actually pay

A capital amount for the share, then a fixed annual operating contribution covering berth, insurance, crew and scheduled maintenance. Fuel is billed on use. There are no surprise assessments — unplanned repairs come out of a reserve fund we build into the annual figure.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is yacht timeshare the same as fractional ownership?

Broadly, yes — in our structure you own a legal share of the vessel rather than just a right to use it, which means you also share in the resale value at the end of the term.

What if two owners want the same weekend?

The booking calendar rotates priority. Peak dates like New Year and long weekends are allocated in a fixed rotation agreed at the start, so nobody gets the same holiday twice in a row while another owner never gets it.

Can I charter out my unused days?

Yes, and many owners do. We will place your unused allocation into the charter fleet and pass through the revenue less operating costs and commission.

How do I exit?

Shares are transferable, subject to the other owners' first right of refusal. We will market your share as part of our brokerage at the standard commission.
