Sell your yacht
Boats sell on presentation and paperwork, in that order. Most private sales in India stall because the photographs are poor and the documents are incomplete — both of which are fixable before the boat goes on the market.
How we sell a boat
A structured process, so a serious buyer never has to wait for information.
- Realistic valuation against actual recent sales, not asking prices
- Pre-sale tidy, detail and any quick-win rectification worth doing
- Professional photography and video, on the water and ashore
- Full specification sheet with service history and document pack
- Listing across Indian and international brokerage channels
- Buyer qualification, viewings and sea trial coordination
- Survey management and negotiation of the survey list
- Transfer of registration, deletion and closing paperwork
Pricing it honestly
We will tell you what your boat is worth, not what you hoped. An overpriced listing goes stale, and a stale listing sells for less than a correctly priced one would have. If the number is disappointing we will explain exactly which factors are driving it and which are worth fixing first.
What it costs you
A commission on completion, agreed in writing up front. Photography and listing are included. There is no upfront fee and no charge if the boat does not sell.
Questions
Frequently asked
How long does it take to sell a yacht in India?
A correctly priced, well-presented boat in a popular size typically finds a buyer in three to six months. Large or unusual vessels take longer simply because the buyer pool is small.
What paperwork do I need to sell my boat?
Registration certificate, proof of ownership and purchase, insurance history, survey reports if any, service records, and customs documents for an imported vessel. Missing import papers are the single most common reason a sale collapses at the last stage.
Should I repair the boat before selling?
Cosmetic work and a proper detail almost always pay for themselves. Major structural or engine work usually does not — buyers discount it further than it costs you, so it is often better to price the boat honestly and disclose the issue.
Do you charge if the boat does not sell?
No. Our commission is payable on completion only.
