Management
Boat building
We build GRP and aluminium boats up to 40 feet — sports boats, RIBs, dinghies, patrol craft and commercial tenders. Every hull is engineered for Indian conditions: heavy monsoon layup, silty harbour water and long service intervals between yards.
What we build
Our yard work concentrates on small commercial and leisure craft, where build quality matters more than volume. We take on one-off custom hulls as readily as short production runs.
- Sports boats and day cruisers, 18–40 ft
- Rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for dive, patrol and yacht tender duty
- Sailing dinghies and training boats for clubs and academies
- Commercial ferries, workboats and pilot tenders built to survey
- Custom yacht tenders matched to a mothership's davits and garage
How a build runs
You get a single project manager from concept to handover. We work to a fixed specification and a staged payment schedule tied to milestones you can come and inspect — hull lamination, deck join, systems fit-out, sea trial.
- Requirement study and concept sketch
- Naval architecture and structural drawings
- Tooling, lamination and hull moulding
- Systems, propulsion and interior fit-out
- Sea trials, survey and registration handover
Built for Indian waters
Boats here work harder than the brochure assumes. Salt-heavy air on the west coast, silt that eats impellers, and four months a year out of the water. We spec heavier anodes, accessible seacocks, and layouts that can be hosed out — the unglamorous decisions that decide whether a boat is still good in year eight.
Questions
Frequently asked
How long does a custom boat build take in India?
A 24–30 ft GRP sports boat typically takes four to six months from signed drawings to sea trial. Larger or heavily customised builds run to nine months. Monsoon affects lamination scheduling, so a build started in April moves faster than one started in July.
Can you build to commercial survey?
Yes. We build to Indian Register of Shipping and MMD requirements for passenger and workboat categories. Tell us the intended service and passenger count at the design stage — retrofitting a hull to survey afterwards is far more expensive than building to it.
Do you handle registration and certification?
We prepare the documentation and coordinate survey attendance. Final registration is in the owner's name with the relevant maritime board or MMD, and we hand over a complete document pack at delivery.
What is the payment structure?
Staged against milestones — typically a design deposit, then payments at hull moulding, deck join, systems completion and pre-delivery. You are welcome at the yard at every stage.
