About the Sea Ray

Sea Ray is a sport cruiser based in Goa, carrying up to 10 guests on the rivers and coastline around Panjim. She has a proper ensuite cabin and bathroom below deck, and her route regularly passes Old Goa's riverfront churches — the kind of scenery photographs well without needing to plan a special detour for it.

This is the boat we suggest for [first-time visitors to Goa](/blog/yachting-in-goa-first-timers-guide) who want a comfortable, sheltered introduction to the water, and for groups who'd rather have a cabin to retreat to than an entirely open deck. She suits a run out toward [Grande Island](/blog/grande-island-goa-snorkelling-diving) or a relaxed cruise along [Goa's best beaches](/blog/best-beaches-by-boat-in-goa).

Boarding is arranged from a jetty in the Panjim area. Pricing is for the whole boat, not per person; message us on WhatsApp with your date and group size for a firm price and a catering quote if you'd like one.

Questions

Sea Ray frequently asked

The things people ask before booking this boat. If yours is not here, message us — a real person answers.

How much does it cost to charter Sea Ray?

Two-hour slots run from ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 depending on the time of day, with sunset slots priced highest. See the pricing table above for every departure time. An additional hour, the Grande Island run and catering are all quoted separately.

What is included in the Sea Ray charter price?

The captain and crew, fuel for the standard route, life jackets for every guest and the on-board sound system. Catering, bar service, decoration, water sports and extra hours are quoted separately and confirmed before you pay anything.

How many guests can the Sea Ray carry?

Up to 10 guests. This is fixed by the vessel's coast guard licence and cannot be exceeded for any reason, so please give us an accurate head count when you enquire — including children and infants.

Is there a minimum booking duration?

Two hours on weekends and public holidays, one hour midweek. Island and full-day charters are quoted as a package rather than by the hour.

How and where do we board?

Boarding is from the jetty, where a tender runs you out to the yacht at anchor — usually about ten minutes. The exact jetty and reporting time are confirmed on your booking sheet the day before.

What happens if the weather is bad on our date?

If the coast guard suspends sailing or the captain judges conditions unsafe, we reschedule your charter to another date at no cost. That call is made on safety grounds, never commercial ones.

Can we bring our own food, cake and decorations?

Outside food and a cake are generally fine, and we will confirm for this specific boat. Alcohol rules vary by vessel and by the permits in force on the day, so check with us before buying anything.

How far in advance should we book?

Weekday charters can often be arranged within the same week. Weekend slots, sunset departures and anything in December need two to three weeks' notice.

Does this route pass any landmarks?

Yes — the standard route runs past Old Goa's riverfront churches, which is a large part of why guests choose this boat over a plain harbour cruise.
