**Golden hour** is the whole point
Book either the first ninety minutes after sunrise or the last ninety before sunset — both give soft, flattering light without the harsh overhead sun of midday. Confirm the exact times for your date, since they shift meaningfully across the year.
Space for a crew and equipment
A shoot needs more deck space than a leisure charter for the same number of people — a photographer, an assistant, reflectors and outfit changes all need room. Book a boat a size up from what the guest count alone would suggest.
Changing space
A cabin below deck doubles as a changing area for outfit changes — confirm this is available and private before the shoot, particularly for a multi-look fashion shoot rather than a single pre-wedding set.
Drones
Drone photography is generally fine outside restricted zones, but Mumbai harbour has specific restrictions worth checking with the operator before you plan a shot list around aerial footage.
